The Exalt EX-6i-DS3-GigE microwave radio system, the first in the industry to aggregate capacity from licensed 6 GHz and carrier-class license-exempt 5 GHz radios over a single long haul link, is a recipient of a 2009 Wireless Backhaul Distinction Award presented by Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC in conjunction with Crossfire Media).

By directly aggregating traffic from the primary 6 GHz radio and up to three Exalt EX-5r GigE systems over a single pair of antennas and waveguides, EX-6i Series GigE radios support up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) of Ethernet capacity, eliminate the need for expensive gigabit Ethernet router ports for data aggregation and reduce deployment time.
