Network Interfaces
The network interface device (NID) is one of the most critical links in the telecom chain. The technology on the inside, as well as the durability of the box on the outside, must deliver seamless, reliable service to your customer, as well as ensure efficient and cost-effective operation to you. Tii’s NIDs do both.
On the outside, our NIDs are built with rugged, weather resistant polycarbonates that protect from heat & cold, UV degradation, and chemical exposure. Inside, these devices accommodate a variety of our state-of-the-art, proprietary surge protection technologies, electronics, and DSL and fiber components, to enhance network performance and reliability. In fact, Tii’s DSL station electronic products are unsurpassed in helping telcos deliver high speed data transmission over traditional copper lines, including a line of xDSL POTS splitters that can separate voice and data for DSL.
Residential Gateways
As the Triple Play market grows, service providers are looking for effective and cost efficient ways to deliver broadband services to legacy network. Tii’s OutRigger solves this problem. An intelligent NID that is remotely manageable, OutRigger installs outside the home in a rugged, weather-protected enclosure. A modular design, utilizing HomePNA 3.1, OutRigger seamlessly delivers high-speed networked broadband services to the home, without the need for new wiring, reducing installation and maintenance costs and time for service providers.
Home Networking
HomePlug technology is a convenient way to transmit data over existing home electrical wiring. However, because traditional surge protectors identify the HomePlug signal as noise, they suppress the signal and diminish available bandwidth. Tii’s HomePlug embedded surge strips and wall adaptors are not only fully HomePlug compatible, they incorporate proprietary protection and filtering technologies that eliminate interference and allow maximum data rate transfer. Our solution is so effective that a national satellite television company recently selected us to provide HomePlug technology to deliver plug-and-play video and broadband to consumers where they want it, when they want it, and without a complicated or costly installation.
Connectivity
Tii’s wire terminal connectivity solutions for broadband-enabled services and network management are designed for easy installation, minimum maintenance, and maximum protection. Our gel-sealed IDC terminations can reduce installation time and increase reliability, which means decreased costs and increased customer satisfaction. Gas Tubes – the heart of our overvoltage surge protection technology is our proprietary two or three electrode gas tube. This heavy-duty product delivers more current handling capacity and lasts longer than almost any other two or three electrode tube.

Modular Station Protectors – Tii’s station protectors are configured to meet your individual requirements. Our sealed Insulation Displacement Connector (IDC) “tool-less” connections reduce costly installation time and increase service reliability.
- AC Powerline/Dataline Protectors – Tii’s protectors for personal computers and home entertainment systems combine powerline protection technology with our proprietary protection for the telephone, DSL, Ethernet, Universal Serial Bus (USB), satellite, and coax lines. The low capacitance qualities of these protectors make them ideal for HomePlug applications.
